“This is advanced a cappella… I would so love to be in your choir!”

Organising a wedding, corporate event, office party or charity concert? Fancy something a little bit different in the entertainment stakes?

In the Smoke has for eight years striven to be the most musically accomplished, visually entertaining and innovative community a cappella group operating in the London area. In the SmokeEmail us for a quote, or check out our videos page or YouTube channel for more!

In the Smoke‘s performance repertoire spans many genres and decades and stands at nearly 70 songs. It’s tricky to keep count as there’s always a new arrangement waiting in the wings from one of our members (half of the group are active arrangers – something we’re quite proud of, and so only like to perform our own stuff).

We tailor setlists to best entertain our audiences, but universal favourites (title – artist) include:

Acapella – Kelis (of course!)
Ain’t Nobody – Chaka Khan
All I Need To Get By – Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell
Baba O’ Riley – The Who
Brave – Leona Lewis
Chandelier – Sia
Could You Be Loved – Bob Marley
Disney Medley
Don’t Stop Believing – Journey
Ex Factor – Lauryn Hill
Falling Slowly – Glen Hansard (from the musical Once)
Fools Gold – Stone Roses
Get Ready – The Temptations
Happy – Pharrell Williams
Heroes – David Bowie
I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) – The Proclaimers
Musicals Medley
Off The Wall – Michael Jackson
Retrograde – James Blake
Russian Roulette – Rihanna
Shine – Take That
Sledgehammer – Peter Gabriel
Summertime – Gershwin
Teardrop – Massive Attack
Under The Boardwalk – The Drifters
Use Somebody – Kings of Leon
Walk Like An Egyptian – The Bangles
Walking On Sunshine – Katrina & The Waves
Water Fountain – tUnE yArDs
Waterfalls – TLC
You Make My Dreams – Hall & Oates

Our Christmas repertoire includes an upbeat waltzy O Little Town of Bethlehem, a wistful version of Tori Amos’s Silent Night With You, choral classic Carol of The Bells, and even the theme tune to the classic Coca Cola advert.

  1. Hello,
My name is Jiana Jihyun Song, Global Digital Account Executive at LG’s in-house advertising agency, HS Ad.
The reason why I am emailing you today is because we would like to see if you would be able to perform at our proposal event which will be using our Piccadilly screen in Piccadilly Circus.
To give you a bit of a background, as Leap Day (2/29) is approaching, we wanted to provide an opportunity for a very special lady to “take the leap of faith” (on Leap Day) to her husband-to-be with our Piccadilly screen.
It will be a surprise for our husband-to-be, however, during the proposal, we will want to have musical performers in the background, who will come up to the husband-to-be one by one in a flashmob type of format (It wouldn’t be a huge flashmob though.) We will be filming the entire event, and posting this online.

Would this be something of interest to you?
If it is, would you have availability on Feb. 29th?

Hope to hear from you very soon!
